-
Année: 1918
-
Durée: 3 mins
-
Description: The camera position looks over the Queen Elizabeth's quarterdeck towards the stern. Wilson comes up the ship's ladder and shakes hands with Beatty. It is an informal, working meeting. The rest of the party follows at a discreet distance and finally disappears altogether as the two men pace the quarterdeck in conversation. Sailors resume their normal duties. On a jump in the film the ship's 'Y' Turret has been traversed to starboard so completely blocking the camera's view.
General Sir Henry Wilson, the Chief of the Imperial General Staff, arrives on board HMS Queen Elizabeth in the Firth of Forth to confer with Admiral Sir David Beatty, 21st May 1918.
