Description: Midsummer in the country and in the city. City dwellers travel to the countryside to enjoy midsummer sauna amongst the aroma of birch and rowan. Outdoor dance floors create the right mood for people of all ages when the accordion sounds and a bonfire lights up at the lakeside. Tourists from southern countries are amazed at the bright Nordic summer nights. Traditions and magic have changed into modern courtship and the ancient pagan festivities have been converted to have a Christian undertone, but there is still something fascinating about the old ways.
