  • Descrizione: After doing his thesis in Law in Germany, Stelios Lempeniotis returns to Greece but fails to get the teaching job at the University he expected. Therefore, he goes to work at Xenakis’ law office. Stelios, who had been active in the fight against the Greek Junta, has to make some difficult decisions about his future, and at the same time he is divided between two women. The first is Marianna, a low-profile girl who lives a secluded life growing vegetables in a hothouse she has inherited from her uncle. The other woman is Xenakis’ wife, Lena, confident, bourgeoise, financially independent, mature, demanding. Marianna sees in Stelios, who used to be her lover, a new range of possibilities for her life. But Stelios lets her down when she gets pregnant, and he tells her that there is no reason for her to keep the baby. Lena, on the other hand, helps him start his own law office but finds out that he will never blend in with her circle, and he will never be completely hers. Stelios is left with his heart heavy with doubt and uncertainty.
