  • Aprašymas: Giannina Fourier is a beautiful young widow and mother of two children, who works as custodian of the factory where her husband once worked. The woman is the object of unwanted attention of the factory foreman Garaud who, rejected, takes revenge by burning the plant and by shifting the blame on her. The woman is immediately arrested and forcibly separated from her children. The imprisonment of Giannina lasts for many years until, elderly and proven by all the sorrows, she manages to escape and begins to rebuild a new life in the city working as a "bearer of bread." Garaud, having made his fortune in America, returns home with his young daughter. The lives of the protagonists are destined to be reunited, until the restoration of order and justice occurs.
