A composition by Spyros Vasileiou, combining Byzantine and folk tradition with modern art. While an island setting is depicted in the background, in the foreground three men steadying themselves on each other’s shoulders tread weightlessly, as if hovering over the azure ground that appears as a continuation of the azure sea. The forms of the faces greatly resemble those of Byzantine figures, with dark brown colors, intense outlines, dark shades around the eyes, the nose and forehead. Slim, ascetic figures, with long limbs and uniform attires.
