On the occasion of the World Day of Audiovisual Heritage which is celebrated every year on 27 October, EFG welcomes the Bulgarian National Film Archive as a new partner. Through EFG, the BNFA will provide access to a collection of early Bulgarian narrative and documentary films, made before the communist coup on May 9th, 1944. Most prominently, the collection features the film "Love is Folly" (1917, dir. Vasil Gendov), which is the oldest preserved Bulgarian narrative film. The BNFA currently makes available five titles as a preview to its pre-socialist cinema collection, of which further titles will be featured on EFG soon.
