Description: Allegorical anti-war film directed by Victor Trivas. Five people from different backgrounds are in a dugout in no man’s land between the front lines: a carpenter from Berlin, a mechanic from Paris, an English officer, a Jewish tailor and a black dancer, who is the only one who understands everybody’s languages. While the war rages around them, all five of them agree on the absurdity of war. They leave their little haven of peace only when they hear the news of the armistice.
