Leírás: Maria loves the young nobleman Roberto Della Rovere, but the father hinders the wedding, even when their daughter Grazia is born. During a trip to the mountains, Maria and Grazia have an accident and are nursed by Dr. Salviati, who falls in love with Maria. Roberto finally gets the permission to marry the woman. When he reaches her in the mountains for telling her the good news, he finds her and Salviati in an ambiguous situation, and believes her guilty of betrayal and decides to run away.
