  • Descrizione: A poor but sensible young man, Stefanos, whose mother is the janitor in the apartment building where they live, studies law by day and sings in a nightclub at night. When Christina, the lovely daughter of the apartment building’s owner, returns to Greece after completing her studies abroad, the former love between her and Stefanos is rekindled, but her father wants her to marry someone wealthy. Seeing that their relationship is thwarting his plans, he sends his daughter away from Athens and, at the same time, has Stefanos and his mother thrown out of the building.
