EUscreen, the best practice network for Europe’s television heritage, organizes its Second International Conference on Use and Creativity. The conference takes place in Stockholm on 15 and 16 September 2011. The conference will explore creative approaches to enhance online accessibility of European television heritage.

On 25 - 26 August 2011, the National Library of Norway will host a film conference titled “The Law of Transformation: New Perspectives on Norwegian Cinema” on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Norway’s oldest extant film “Under forvandlingens lov” (“Under the Law of Transformation”, 1911).
This 1,5-day conference which will be taking place in Bologna during the Il Cinema Ritrovato film festival on 30 June and 1 July intends to look at the consequences of the transition from analogue to digital by looking at the self-perception of the archives, their relationship with their users as well as the implications of this paradigm shift for their daily work.
On 8 + 9 June 2011, the Filmarchiv Austria is hosting a conference entitled “Key/Frames – The Filmic Document in the Digital Age“ in Vienna. On the occasion of the upcoming launch of the EFG portal, the conference is going to examine the possibilities, contexts and perspectives of digitisation.
