  • Kuvaus: The short feature film based on the short story of Petras Cvirka “The Well”.Winter. Son-in-law Kriauza looks for his father-in-law of Mockus and asks tavern owner Barbora to invite him. But Mockus sends him “go to hell”. Kriauza goes to the church alone, meet his wife at the door of the church. In the church, he tells a story of his wedding and asks a priest to help to get a dowry from Mockus. The priest listens to the tales of the wife of Kriauza and Barbora. When going home, Kriauza finds out that his father-in-law has fallen down to the well. Mockus agrees to give a dowry for his daughter, and Kriauza goes to his house to take a ladder and pull Mockus out of the well. But, at night, he returns and nails up the well. At home again, he is haunted by a priest who tells him that he looks for Mockus, but can’t find him.
