Leírás: Louisa is married to a shipowner who dies. Her husband’s brother manages to take advantage of the fortune, leaving her dangling. Her daughter Anna studies at an exclusive college in America and is not aware of the ordeal her mother is enduring, that she has become a singer at a music club in order to pay for her daughter’s studies. When the daughter sends her a telegram informing her that she is coming home with her aristocratic fiancé, Louisa is put in a difficult position. How can she tell her that she is no longer a shipowner’s daughter? Louisa’s friends rent her a villa and help her financially so she can pretend that she is a wealthy shipowner’s widow.
